General Rules

There is a limit to the number of registrations, so if the membership is high,
the last subscribers will be excluded and, if they do, they will be notified by September 29.

The age of the athletes to take into account will be the one of the day of the Open and not of the inscription in the same one.

FNKP logos on equipment shall be prohibited.

An official identification document will be required to present it when requested.

The organization is not responsible for accidents during the tests. All athletes must be enrolled in the FNKP and their respective

The proof of payment must be sent to info@openkaratepvarzim.com.
Without the proof the athletes will not be included in the draw.

The registration deadline ends on September 23 at midnight.

The draw and the Open program will be announced on October 4 at em www.sportdata.org

All the clubs must print the respective raffles because during the competition they will not be made available by the organization.

Weighing: all weighings will be carried out at a location in the Pavilion where the events will be held, at the times indicated in the event schedule.   A tolerance of 1kg will be given.  From the publication of the final draws (2019/10/10), if the athlete is out of weight for which he / she was enrolled, he / she must registrate in the correct cathegory, paying a penalty of 20€. Please Note: changing the draws causes damages to the event organization, to athletes and to the teams, so it must be avoided!

Access to the competition area will only be permited with the official registration card.
Public is not allowed inside the competition area

Regras de Competição

KUMITE

In the Kumite U10 and U12 male and female the following points are verified:
The duration of the combat is 1 minute.
The combat is carried out with interruptions to award points and ends with the difference of 8 points.
There can be no touches to the Jodan level with the hand and foot;
the Regulation will be applied with the utmost rigor in excessive contacts in the abdomen, breast, back and all points referred to in Article 8
(forbiden behaviors) of the arbitration regulation.
The competitor who deliberately drops will be penalized.
There is no rule of 10 seconds.
Mandatory equipment: Mouthpiece; Gloves; Feet Protectors, Breast Guard*.


* Breast Guard is not mandatory for U10 category.

 

In the male and female U14 Kumite the following points are verified:
The duration of the fighting is 1.30 minutes.
The combat ends with the difference of 8 points.
the Regulation will be applied with the utmost rigor in excessive contacts in the abdomen, breast, back and all points referred to in Article 8
(forbiden behaviors) of the arbitration regulation.
In Jodan techniques, cadet rules will apply.
There is no rule of 10 seconds.
Mandatory equipment: Mouth Protection; Gloves; Feet Guards; Shin Guards; Chest Guard; Breast Guard for female.

For the other categories, the rules to be applied shall be those of W.K.F.

KATA

U8
Basic Katas from the WKF Official List

Competitors may repeat the same basic kata from the WKF Official List in each round.


U10
Basic Katas from the WKF Official List

Competitors must perform at least two different basic Katas from the WKF Official List, alternately, in each round.


U12
Basic Katas from the WKF Official List:
Goju Ryu: Shisochin, Seiyunchin/Seienchin, Sanseru;
Shito Ryu: Seienchin/Seiyunchin, Bassai-Dai, Jion;
Wado Ryu: Kushanku, Chinto, Wanshu
Shotokan: Bassai-Dai, Jion, Enpi;

Competitors must perform in the first round a basic Kata from the WKF Official List.
From the second (2nd) round on, competitors may perform Katas from the list above according to the style.
From the fourth (4th) round on, Katas may be repeated, as long as they are different from those previously performed and only once.


U14
Katas from the WKF Official List

In the first three round, competitors must perform three different Katas from the WKF Official List.
From the fourth (4th) round on, Katas may be repeated, as long as they are different from those previously performed and only once.


1. It is important that the performed Kata identifies with the competitor’s school.
2. In these categories, in the Kata performance, it is allowed the use of glasses.
3. In the other categories, the rules to be applied shall be the rules WKF.
